July 28, 1917 Bramshott Camp

Ray writes to one of his brothers while at Bramshott waiting for the rain to clear after visiting some friends. He met Bert McCullough, the brother of the woman who runs the Post Office in Teeswater. Bert is on leave and tells him things are looking favourable in France.

Ray writes to his mother about his work fixing machine guns, church services he attended and visiting friends from home at Bramshott camp. He may go on a 6 day leave to Scotland.






June 13, 1917 Witley Camp

Ray types a letter to his mother and tells her about his job repairing machine guns for the Longmoor Ranges and the changes in his platoon.
